The reinforced universal joints are equipped with special PU thrust washers (high performance seal) according to construction machinery standard. The universal joints can be lubricated centrally. The shaft works stress-free at an angle of up to 30° in case of large entanglement. ENGAGE4X4 wide-angle cardan shafts are of great advantage for Defenders with a chassis lift of more than 50 mm and a higher axle articulation. In this way, the universal joints are not overstressed in the extended state. The sliding piece with over 100 mm length compensation can be lubricated on all shafts since 2014. The grease nipple is protected from tearing off by a metal ring. So that the shaft can still be maintained even after extreme off-road use.
