Reinforced driveline kit front axle Land Rover Discovery 2.
Since the Land Rover Discovery Series II has a front axle with a so-called "open steering knuckle", we can use a constant velocity joint with a much larger diameter.
The increased diameter of the joint allows not only a much thicker wall of the joint bell, but also the use of larger balls,
which reduce the stresses in the joint under extreme loads. Also, we can increase the half-shaft size from the small
32 spline to the much larger 24 spline, just like the 24 spline differential end.
The shafts are made of extremely durable 4340 heavy duty steel for drive trains and for the shafts. The reinforced constant velocity joints are also
4340 and 300M inside for the ball hub and cage. This makes the reinforced Discovery 2 drive kit extremely durable.
Note when installing these shafts, you will need to replace the dust caps from the old shafts and reinstall the new shafts with Loctite.
