Rugged fiberglass composite construction-with inetrgated special aluminum extrusions from Almg3-provide tremendous torsional rigidity. This is especially important for long trips on slopes or in heavy terrain to avoid cracks in the GRP shell. The high-quality surface treatment of the shell protects the roof tent for UV radiation and weather conditions, such as dust, rain, wind and snow. - The tent fabric is also made of UV resistant and weatherproof polyurethane coated ribstop Oxford 600 D fabric. The crank mechanism with threaded spindles and lifting struts made of V2A steel is easy to operate. The hard shell is held with four high quality stainless steel locking clips so the roof tent is securely closed on the toughest slopes and 100% tight.
