The Overland roof tent from ENGAGE4X4 is our first roof tent. Made and designed specifically for overland travel and expedition trips in offroad terrain. After a long drive or an exhausting day of touring, the setup of the roof tent is done quickly and easily. Made from selected and high quality materials by our ENGAGE4X4 design team. The Overland roof tent from ENGAGE4X4 is designed for longer adventure vacations, long-distance travel and off-road tours. Designed and developed by our ENGAGE4X4 team. With a lot of enthusiasm and based on travel experiences, the roof tent was thought out and developed. Tested and proven on tougher off-road trips and with heavily loaded off-road vehicles. This allowed us to produce the ENGAGE4X4 roof tent with important details to the finished roof tent. We have incorporated all of our experience testing other roof tents into the development of our ENGAGE4X4 roof tent Overland. This is how our Overland roof tent - modern and well thought-out - was created. Produced from the highest quality and most modern materials. The roof tent has practical and thoughtful details. The quality is also reflected in the handling and lying comfort.
ENGAGE4X4 roof tent in detail
The ENGAGE4X4 roof tent Overland offers enough space for two adults and a small child, depending on their sleeping habits. The comfortable, high-quality cold foam mattress is chosen in height so that they will sleep comfortably on it. The outer material of the tent is made of waterproof, breathable as well as mold-resistant poly-cotton ripstop material. Waterproofness is ensured by this material. The seams are double stitched and taped. In addition, the high-quality zippers ensure that no water enters. Moisture in the tent is in any case unfavorable. Highly durable zippers are designed for demanding use. Thermoplastic polyurethane encases the zippers and thus everything is airtight and watertight up to a water pressure of 500mbar. These high quality zippers are a very important detail of a roof tent. They are constantly stressed and guarantee the high tightness of the ENGAGE4X4 roof tent Overland and their durability.
Construction of the Overland roof tent
The flexible and high-quality aluminum mounting frame convinces with its light weight and high bending stiffness. Embedded in this frame is the Alufloor plate as a substructure for the ENGAGE4X4 roof tent Overland. The Alufloor panel is made with sandwich panels with aluminum honeycomb core, internal cover layers of fiberglass mesh and an outer cover layer. The characteristic features of the sandwich panels with honeycomb core are highly appreciated for off-road applications. The Alufloor panel is vibration damping and therefore no anti-drumming coating is necessary. The advantage of the substructure of the roof tent is the excellent weather and long-term resistance of the material. High quality materials are very important here.
Around the ENGAGE4X4 Overland roof tent are entrance covers and mosquito nets. An additional raised "flysheet" provides shade and at the same time extensive ventilation. This cools the sleeping area somewhat in extremely warm and humid regions. If desired, bedding and sleeping bags can be left in the tent when traveling. The telescopic ladder of the Overland rooftop tent can be easily adjusted to different vehicle heights. The interior can be used with pockets and nets for sundries and miscellaneous items. Flashlights and camping lights can be attached.
