Product information "Defender suspension Step 2 for Defender 110 / 130 with TÜV + 50 to 70 mm"
To perform a professional suspension lift on a Land Rover Defender, you need much more than just springs and shock absorbers. An incorrectly performed Defender suspension installation can lead to the loss of the operating license and even cause damage to your Land Rover Defender.
Defender Suspension with Lifting & TÜV
If you raise the Defender by changing the suspension springs, the front axle shifts to the left. So the correct position of the front axle is no longer guaranteed. This is where the adjustable ENGAGE4X4 Panhard bar (with TÜV parts certificate) comes into play. Further the deflection angles of the front and rear cardan shafts change. This is how the annoying vibrations in the drivetrain occur. These are corrected by the installation of ENGAGE4X4 traction and thrust rods (with TÜV parts approval) to correct the caster on the front axle.
Since this measure is not sufficient for the Land Rover Defender when the suspension is raised, reinforced double-jointed cardan shafts are also installed to prevent the load on the universal joints and the load on the transfer case.
The Defender suspension (springs and shock absorbers) of your Land Rover is the connection between the road or off road track and the suspension of your Land Rover Defender. They form the basis safety, ride comfort, as well as durability and extreme loads.ENGAGE4X4 complete suspensions are fully TÜV tested and allow depending on the vehicle weight and characteristics, a lifting of 30 to 65mm. The ENGAGE4X4 "Expedition" suspension kit for the Defender allows a completely legal installation within the range of the STVZO. All safety relevant suspension components are delivered with a TÜV parts certificate.
Expedition complete suspension Step 2 - for high loads on tracks
For occasional expeditions and trips to remote areas with increased overall vehicle weight and higher roof loads such as roof racks or external cages. The suspension is many times more loadable than the original Land Rover (Genuine) suspension and comparable suspensions on the market. The shock absorbers effortlessly cope with long track runs in extreme conditions. The suspension has been successfully tested under extreme conditions on several desert rallies.
Chassis springs from ENGAGE4X4 - made in Germany
Progressive suspension springs with coil-off on the front axle, thus, allow your Defender a 25% better articulation of the front axle and thus a significantly higher off-road capability compared to other chassis.
For a perfect chassis tuning provide the springs on the front axle. Both front axle springs have been calculated with different wire thicknesses for the respective weight. The rear springs are designed to accommodate higher payloads, the slightly progressive deflection of the rear springs allow despite everything a much more comfortable ride with your Land Rover.
High performance shock absorbers for extreme loads
An ideal suspension set-up for an off-road vehicle is "softly sprung - hard damped". This is exactly what we have implemented. The ENGAGE4X4 high-performance shock absorbers are based on a monotube damper system and are designed for the highest loads. The high-pressure gas filling acts against premature cavitation (foaming of the shock absorber oil) under high loads.
